Anyone out looking for houses in this week's weather is dead-serious about moving. This is the coldest weather we've seen this year. The schools and a lot of businesses were closed yesterday (January 17th, 2007) because of the ice on the roads. Those of us who grew up in this part of the country don't have much experience driving on ice...we tend to drive either too slow or much too fast...and then stomp on the brakes at the first sign of slippage! Better keep your distance this week.
Still, I had to get out on MLK day with my camera. Before the Arctic Express arrived, we had RAIN! I rushed out to buy new umbrellas and drove down to Country Place to see what the lakes looked like. They're FULL, folks...the best present all us fishing fools could hope for.
